Job Description

Supply Ontario is a new provincial agency with an ambitious mandate to transform and modernize the province’s public sector supply chain management system.

Supply Ontario’s vision is to build world-class capability that harnesses Ontario’s buying power to enable economic development, province-wide resilience and value for Ontarians. We are currently establishing our initial operations, building our foundational infrastructure and planning for how the agency can best provide services.

When operational, as the procurement commercial face for government, Supply Ontario will work across the system to build an integrated, efficient and strategic supply chain that benefits our economy, businesses, customers and Ontarians.

Reporting to the President and CEO, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) will be accountable for the strategic direction, setting strategies and priorities, and thought leadership necessary to ensure sound decision-making, substantive expertise, process ownership and oversight of client acquisition and customer service, integrated supply chain management, digital and data, and strategy and transformation for Supply Ontario. This includes setting the business and operational strategy and the development of strategic partnerships that result in the capability to harness Ontario’s buying power to enable large scale value for Ontarians.

You have extensive senior level experience with a demonstrated track record of leadership within a large and complex environment, overseeing multiple portfolios – supply chain, operations, logistics experience preferred. You have strong business acumen and direct experience managing professionals who are responsible for multiple portfolios. You embrace change and growth, are comfortable with ambiguity – and possess the political acuity to remain responsible and flexible to the demands of competing priorities within a highly political environment. You are dedicated to operational excellence. You have knowledge of and/or experience with government and enjoy building relationships with key stakeholders and members of the community. Finally, you exhibit energy and enthusiasm for the mandate, have a reputation for openness and integrity and a passion for delivering results.
